couple-at-cafe-table-croppedHappiness doesn’t come from being idol and non productive, that’s called laziness.   Ways to be happy in life, is choosing a lifestyle that suits you, and if you have a partner or family, a life that suits them as well.   You won’t find happiness if you just live for yourself and not consider your loved ones.

Ask yourself and be honest with yourself, “what really makes me happy”?

Make a life list ideas list of what makes you happy, write down, say 20 ideas, practice these until you perfect them and then work from there.

Begin With Being Me

A great quote is – ‘Happiness isn’t found in another person, thing or place’.

These items could be anything from spending time with your loved ones, “which is generally top of the list”, achieving a business deal or maybe just enjoying a great cup of coffee or a glass of good wine, whilst contemplating the wonderful life you are creating and applying the 20 motivating ideas on your list for being happy.

This list will differ from person to person, but as Franklin Roosevelt said, think of each happiness situation as a great achievement.   To live a happy life is to be enterprising in every aspect of your day to day life.  Live each day as though it’s your last day on the planet, if you have this attitude you will be amazed how happiness comes pouring in.

Avoid Negative Mind Chatter

Your mind is such a power house in your body, concentrate on your thoughts, which in many Eastern religions are classified as prayers.   Your thoughts build up in your mind and become embedded in your subconscious, and if these thoughts are negative then your life becomes negative and unproductive.

 

People become unhealthy because of negative thoughts, some people dwell on poor health and their body reacts to their thoughts (prayers) and become unhealthy.

The reverse can happen, we see some people who have debilitating illnesses with amazingly positive minds and actions, who achieve incredible success in so many areas of life.  These people are truly inspiring, enterprising and determined to find ways of being happy in life.  Learn from these people, when feeling down, be grateful for the assets you have.

Read your list of “what really makes me happy”, try this several times a day, if you think you don’t have the time, “you do!”, you will be so much more productive by working with a positive mind rather than a mind full of stale mind chatter.

Live in the Moment.

Living in the moment will give you time to find ways of being happy, don’t allow your mind to wander, keep focused on your present task and you will be amazed how, even unpleasant tasks, are completed with ease.   This is allowing your enterprising skills to come to the fore, whether you are doing the most menial task, an involved business situation, or just relaxing, think of this moment as a happy, enterprising achievement.

As Roosevelt said, “Happiness lies in the joy of an achievement and the thrill of creative effort.”  concentrate on some inspiring quotes for being happy instead of your problems, move on and you will find ways to be happy in life.

Don’t Allow Yourself to be a Victim.

Oh!  Isn’t this an epidemic these days!   The great minds who have written inspiring quotes for being happy, would be blown out of their minds regarding the thinking of so many people in this modern world.

Somebody made me do it, somebody let me down.   Make lists for your day, week, month, year, life, your goals will change from time to time, as you won’t want to be stuck in a negative mindset, remember if you are not moving forward you are moving backward in this fast moving world.  You have now become more enlightened and found a more successful way of achieving happiness.

If your loved one has different goals and you are both enterprising, work on your goals together and work on ways to be happy in life and your creative effort will certainly lead to great achievements in all aspects of your life.

Maintain a Healthy Body

fat-girlWithout our health, life is challenging, stressful and unhappy. We have covered the importance of using our minds to achieve a successful life, now think about what we put in our bodies.

We are blessed by having wonderful healthy foods available to feed this amazing machine we have been given, it’s called our body, and yet people buy junk takeaway foods and wonder why they are overweight and unhealthy.

Obese people often suffer from diabetes, heart problems and many forms of cancer which can so often be controlled with a proper diet. Fortunately we have fewer smokers today which is good news and it’s important to take care of your drinking habits.

A beautiful meal with a glass or two of wine shared with friends or loved ones is good for you, but unfortunately people often fall back on alcohol for entertainment which is very debilitating.  Take care.

7 Days without excerciseFind an exercise regime you enjoy, whether it be an organized sport, daily walks or a gym.  A gym machine in your home is a great way for getting your required 3 to 5 hours of exercise each week

The most important thing is to move your body, concentrate on your breath to exercise your lungs, do some weight bearing exercises to strengthen your mussels and of course some cardio work for your heart.
